Ubuntu Brainstorm

Ubuntu have launched a new site which allows users to suggest new features/improvements for ubuntu and also to vote on other peoples ideas. Ubuntu Brainstorm will give the community more power to control the future direction of Ubuntu and allow developers to focus on the most pressing issues affecting users.

Its quite similar to Digg.com, if you like a particular idea you can vote it up, giving the idea a higher position in the list and a higher priority for the developers.

An idea in brainstorm can easily be linked to Launchpad to create new blueprints or bug reports.

The site was inspired by Dells's IdeaStorm. As you may know that it was ideastorm that led Dell to distribute Ubuntu with some of their products.

I think this is a good thing as it will bring the community and the developers closer together, which will hopefully result in a better and more popular Ubuntu.
